A Bread Maker Is Not Just For Christmas!

Now that Christmas and the New Year are well and truly behind us, the novelty of all the gifts you were given are probably beginning to wear off. You may have been given some new clothes that you wore on Christmas Day but probably won't ever wear again. Maybe your nearest and dearest bought you a bright new shiny gadget for the kitchen. Never an easy thing buy that one! A juicer perhaps, or an ice cream maker or maybe something he just knew you'd find indispensable like a waffle maker. I dare say it wasn't long before it found its way to the back of the cupboard never to see the light of day again!

But what about those of you who were given a bread maker for Christmas. Is that still sitting proudly on your worktop? Or has it also been re-homed behind a closed door somewhere? In fact, did it ever get used at all?

I have to admit to spending a lot of hard earned money on the latest 'must have' kitchen gadgets only to find after a couple of weeks the novelty wore off and they never got used again.

But I can honestly say that was not the case with the bread maker we bought. I would even go as far as to say the more we used it, the more useful we found it. Not just for bread either, but for cakes and jam too.

The thing I liked the most was being able to come downstairs to a freshly made loaf of bread each morning. The smell was something to die for! Also, on a more important note, we knew exactly what ingredients were going into the bread we made, something we couldn't say about the shop bought bread we used to eat. We used our bread maker so much that when it finally wore out we went straight out and bought another one as we couldn't be without one.

Todays bread makers are better than ever with some top-of-the-range Panasonic Bread maker models even able to make gluten-free bread. While the raisin nut dispenser automatically adds any additional ingredients as and when they are needed. I wish we'd had that function on our first bread maker. Also with its new Speciality Mode you can now use Rye and Spelt flour. In fact if you, or a family member, have any special dietary needs such as low sugar, low salt or high fibre diets then the Panasonic bread maker makes these requirements so easy to meet. Eating healthier is now so much easier when you use you own a bread maker.

So if you did receive one of these machines as a gift, please remember a bread maker isn't just for Christmas, treated properly it could become part of the family.
